Mentoring

Mentoring is central to everything we do at The Yellow House.  Mentoring is used to promote achievement at key points in each child’s learning journey. We dedicate a 60 minute session each week to allow pupils and their Key workers to sit and discuss everything including academic progress, therapeutic interventions, friendships, personal relationships, health and hygiene and transition.  Mentors are trained in the use of a CBT informed Toolkit that can be used to tackle any issues that your child may face.  We use mentoring to ensure your child is at the centre of their personal learning journey while with us at The Yellow House School.  The mentor is also your Key worker and will be your main contact at the school.
